CFVR3217 - Slope stability with non horizontal reinforced earth

Slope stability analysis, without water pressure and with reinforced earth.

A plane model as shown in the figure is used to check reinforced earth in Janbu method is used.
The model is made off a single material with a dry specific weight of 20000 N/m2, 28º internal friction angle and no cohesion.
The terrain is considered dry. No water table is defined.
The only action on the structure is its self weight and the reinforcement bars which are defined as a group of two bars with 0.3 as the apparent friction coefficient, with a 30º slope downwards. The bars are assumed to have no strength limit.
