CFVR4507 - GB50017: Bending and Shear Checking


A fixed-fixed Steel beam is subjected to a pressure load of 1000 kN, applied on one end of the beam.
The beam has a length of 1 m.
The cross section is a simple T with the following dimensions:

  • h = 127 mm
  • tw = 5.7 mm
  • b = 101.6 mm
  • tf = 6.8 mm
The beam is made of GB 50017 Q420 steel.
The aim of the example is to obtain bending and shear checking criterion according to GB 50017.
