POST1:Concrete Checking

Entity

Label identifying the entity type to be drawn.

SHELL

Shell Elements.

ALLSHELL

All ends of a shell vertex in the selected load steps.

SOLSEC

Solid sections.

CROSSEC

Cross section.

VERTEX

NUM

Number of entity to be drawn. NUM values depend on values assigned to Entity:

Entity

NUM

BEAM

Number of the Beam element.

SHELL

Number of the Shell element.

ALLSHELL

Number of the shell vertex.

SOLSEC

Number of the Solid section.

CROSSEC

Number of the Cross section.

VERTEX

MLabel

For Entity = BEAM, SOLSEC or CROSSEC:

Shows an interaction diagram for MY, MZ or both.

MLabel

Description

Blank

For Entity = SHELL or VERTEX:

Shows an interaction diagram for X or Y direction.

MLabel

Description

X

X direction.

Y

Y direction.

Lab2

Label specifying the type of analysis (only used if active code is ITER). Defined in ~CHKCON command.

VAL1

Maximum allowable stress in concrete.

VAL2

Maximum allowable stress in longitudinal reinforcement.

VAL3

If the active code is ACI 318-05: Type of member (different strength reduction factors for axial compression, and axial compression with flexure are used in each case).

1

Members with spiral reinforcement (f = 0.70).

0

Other cases (f = 0.65). Default value.

If the active code is ACI 349-01: Type of member (different strength reduction factors for axial compression, and axial compression with flexure are used in each case).

1

Members with spiral reinforcement (f = 0.75).

0

Other cases (f = 0.70). Default value.

If the active code is ACI 359-04: Load category.

0

Factored loads.

1

Service loads.

VAL4

If the active code is ACI 359-04: Force Classification.

0 or 1

Primary forces.

2

Primary + Secondary forces.

3

Primary forces + SIT

4

Primary + Secondary forces + SIT.

5

Primary forces + SIT (RG 1.90).

6

Primary + Secondary forces + SIT (RG 1.90).

VAL5

If the active code is ACI 359-04: Type of stress-strain diagram used for concrete.

Blank

Diagram selected as the Design Diagram in the material.

             0

User defined.

1

PCA parabolic

2

Rectangular

3

Parabolic ACI359

4

Linear ACI359

VAL6

If Entity = ALLSHELL:

LSIni

Initial Load Step

VAL7

If Entity = ALLSHELL:

LSFin

Final Load Step

VAL8

If Entity = ALLSHELL:

LSInc

Increment between LSIni & LSFin

VAL9

If the active code is ACI-359:

     Maximum steel strength force

= 0 Restricts the value of the strength force up to the maximum provided in the code. Default value

= 1 Strength force limitation ignored

VAL10

     Criterion type used:

0

Criterion calculated from the center of the interaction diagram

1

Criterion calculated from the origin (0,0) of the interaction diagram

2

Criterion calculated with constant axial force. Calculated from the point (Fd,0).

VAL11

If Entity = ALLSHELL o SHELL:

Forces and moments used:

0

Neglects torsional moments and membrane shear force

1

Takes into account torsional moments and membrane shear force

2

Takes into account torsional moments and neglects membrane shear force

Notes

- The color of the pivots is interpolated among the diagram points. Due to the discrete behavior of these pivots, the cut through a plane could give erroneous values, which must be interpreted adequately.

- To show these pivots with colors, the “beta” capacity must activated using the command: KEYW, BETACIVI, 1.

- If Entity = SHELL, all Axial and Bending moment pairs are plotted in the indicated element number.

- If Entity = ALLSHELL, all Axial and Bending moment pairs are plotted in the indicated element shell vertex and Load Steps. VAL6, VAL7 y VAL8 arguments are needed (LSIni, LSFin, LSInc). Forces and moments data are taken from RCV with same jobname.
