~GENTEN

~GENTEN, TENDON, TENSION, KPINI, DIVSIZE, MAT, SYSTEM, LOSS_L, LOSS_TBL, LOSS_MEA

Defines prestressing tendons from lines, without a support beam.

PREP7: PRESTRESSED CONCRETE: Free tendons

TENDON

Tendon number, used for the name given to the created components.

TENSION

Initial tension force (positive).

KPINI

Initial Keypoint for the tendon.

DIVSIZE

Size of the divisions for the calculation of the prestressing actions. The tendon is discretized into segments in order to calculate the equivalent forces.

MAT

Material for the tendon.

SYSTEM

Type of prestressing:

0

Tensioned at the initial point.

1

Tensioned at both ends.

LOSS_L

Friction losses are calculated taking the following measure for the distance:

0

Calculation distance is the distance (as a straight line) to the initial point but never decreasing.

1

Calculation distance is computed taking into account straight segments and ignoring curved segments.

2

Calculation distance is the real length of the curve, from the initial point to each point.

LOSS_TBL

Name of the table with additional losses provided. The table must have the real length, from KPINI, represented in column 0 and the additional loss on column 1.

LOSS_MEA

Way in which the additional losses are input:

0

The table provides a ratio of the losses vs the tension (initial tension minus friction losses).

1

The table provides the additional losses (as a force), that must be added to the friction losses.

2

The table provides the total losses (as a force). Friction losses will not be calculated.

Note

- This command does only calculate the initial friction losses. Any other losses must be entered as an additional loss through the LOSS_TBL table.
