~HCLPFST
~HCLPFST, Lab1, ChckAxis, ClassMod, ,VAL1,VAL2
Checks structural steel cross sections according to High Confidence of a Low Probability of Failure (HCLPF).
POST1: Steel Checking
Lab1
Label identifying the type of checking.
ChckAxis
Element axes (ANSYS or CivilFEM axes system) which will be taken as “principal bending axis” or “Y axis” of Eurocode3 (only for Eurocode 3).
ClassMod
Defines the set of acting forces and moments that will be taken into account in the calculation of the section’s class (only in Eurocode 3).
VAL11
Load step of seismic loads.
VAL12
Substep of seismic loads.
Notes
- A seismic RCV file must exist and be specified with ~CFFILE2 command, taking NFILE argument as NFILE=4.
This command depends on active code.
If active code is EC3:
|
Lab1 |
Description |
|
TENSION |
Tension checking (Art.5.4.3). |
|
COMPRESS |
Compression checking (Art.5.4.4). |
|
BENDING |
Bending checking (Art.5.4.5). |
|
SHEAR |
Shear checking (Art.5.4.6). |
For Eurocode 3 checking.
|
ChckAxis |
Description |
|
-Z |
‘+Y’ for Eurocode No.3 = ‘-Z’ for CivilFEM (Default value). |
|
Y |
‘+Y’ for Eurocode No.3 = ‘+Y’ for CivilFEM. |
|
Z |
‘+Y’ for Eurocode No.3 = ‘+Z’ for CivilFEM. |
|
-Y |
‘+Y’ for Eurocode No.3 = ‘-Y’ for CivilFEM. |
|
The ChckAxis choice can be made in different stages of the program and therefore it is recommended that the user knows the hierarchy order. This order is given next: 1º The ChckAxis value coming from ~MEMPROP will be taken 2º The ChckAxis value coming from ~HCLPFST will be taken 3º The ChckAxis value as –Z |
|
|
ClassMod |
Description |
|
FULL |
The class is obtained considering all the forces and moments as result of the calculation. |
|
PARTIAL |
The class is obtaining only considering the logical forces and moments of the checking. (Default value). |
If active code is N690_06A:
|

|
BENDING |
Bending checking (Chapter NF). |
|
SHEAR |
Shear checking (Chapter NG). |
|
PLTGIRD |
Plate girders checking. |
|
BEND_AXL |
Checking to Flexure + axial (ChapterNH). |
|
BDAXSHTR |

If active code is N690_06L:
|
Lab1 |
Description |
|
TENSION |
Checking of members in axial tension (Chapter ND). |
|
COMPFBK |
Checking of members in axial compression (Chapter NE3). |
|
COMPFTBK |
Flexural torsional buckling checking (Chapter NE4). |
|
BENDING |
Bending checking (Chapter NF). |
|
SHEAR |
Shear checking (Chapter NG). |
|
PLTGIRD |
Plate girders checking. |
|
BEND_AXL |
Checking to Flexure + axial (Chapter NH). |
|
BDAXSHTR |
Torsion, Flexure, Shear and/or Axial Force checking (Chapter NH). |
Notes
- Checking is done for the element ends (cross sections or solid sections) of selected elements at the moment of command execution.
- All calculations are performed according to the active code (see ~CODESEL command).
- The description of the calculation process used can be found in the Theory Manual.
- The analysis results are stored in CivilFEM results file as an alternative.
