~RNFDEF

~RNFDEF, NCSEC, NGroup, MAT, VAL1, VAL2, VAL3, VAL4, VAL5, VAL6, VAL7, VAL8, VAL9, VAL10

Defines a reinforcement group in cross sections

PREP7: Sections

NCSEC

Number of cross section to be reinforced

NGroup

Label identifying the reinforcement to be defined. Valid arguments are the followings:

SHEAR

Shear reinforcement

TORSION

Torsion reinforcement

RBDEF

Bending reinforcement by default

N

Number of the bending reinforcement group

MAT

Number of reinforcement material

VAL1, VAL2, VAL3, VAL4, VAL5, VAL6, VAL7, VAL8, VAL9, VAL10

Values to assign depending on the reinforcement (NGroup).

·          If NGroup=RBDEF (Bending reinforcement by default), the command adopts the following structure:

~RNFDEF, NCSEC, RBDEF, MAT, RKEY

RKEY

Number of reinforcement defined automatically by the program. Allowable values depend on the section (see ~CSECDMS command).

·          If NGroup=N (Bending reinforcement defined by the user), the command adopts the following structure:

~RNFDEF, NCSEC, N, MAT, NFACE, CLS, GC, AST, ASL, PHI, N, NL, S, END

NFACE

Number of face associated to the reinforcement

CLS

Reinforcement class

0

Scalable

1

Fixed

GC

Geometric cover

AST

Total reinforcement area (uniformly distributed)

ASL

Reinforcement area per unit of length (uniformly distributed)

PHI

Diameter of the bars of the reinforcement group (in mm.)

N

Number of bars of the group (N £1000).

NL

Number of bars per units of length

S

Bar spacing

END

Bar situation. Allowable values are: (see the possible arrangements at the chapter 5 of Theory Manual)

0

Include bars in both ends of the face

1

Include bars at one end of the face (End 1).

2

Include bars at one end of the face (End 2).

3

No bars at face ends.

4

Include bars in both ends of the face at a distance equal to the mechanic cover (Mc).

·          If NGroup=SHEAR (Shear reinforcement) the command adopts the following structure:

~RNFDEF, NCSEC, SHEAR, MAT, ALPY, ALPZ, ASSY, ASSZ, ASY, ASZ, S, PHI, NY, NZ

ALPY

Angle of the stirrups for shear Y along X axis (longitudinal axis) (0º£ALPY£180º)

ALPZ

Angle of the stirrups for shear Z along X axis (longitudinal axis) (0º£ALPZ£180º)

ASSY

Reinforcement area per unit of length for shear along Y

ASSZ

Reinforcement area per unit of length for shear along Z

ASY

Total area of the stirrup for shear along Y

ASZ

Total area of the stirrup for shear along Z

S

Spacing of stirrups

PHI

Diameter of the bars (in mm)

NY

Number of legs for shear along Y

NZ

Number of legs for shear along Z

·          If NGroup=TORSION (Torsion reinforcement) the command adopts the following structure:

~RNFDEF, NCSEC, TORSION, MAT, ASST, AST, S, PHIT, ASL, PHIL, N

ASST

Area of the transverse reinforcement per unit of length

AST

Stirrups area for torsion

S

Spacing of stirrups

PHIT

Diameter of the stirrup bars of transverse reinforcement (in mm)

ASL

Total area of longitudinal reinforcement

PHIL

Diameter of the stirrup bars for longitudinal reinforcement (in mm)

N

Number of bars of longitudinal reinforcement
