~PCLOSS

~PCLOSS, LTAGE, KOPT, Labopt, VAL1, RELAX, K, TVar

Calculates the prestressing losses for active tendons.

PREP7 : PRESTRESSED CONCRETE: Losses

LTAGE

Calculation time, in hours, for the long-term losses (default value: 106 hours)

KOPT

Losses calculation type

0

The long-term losses (creep, concrete shrinkage and steel relaxation) are calculated as independent phenomena (default value).

1

The long-term losses are calculated with approximated formulas taking into account the losses coupling.

Labopt

Label identifying the simplified formulation used in the long-term losses calculation:

If KOPT = 1

EC2

EC2 formulation (default value if the active prestressed code is EC2).

EHE

EHE formulation (default value if the active prestressed code is EHE).

DISCHING

Dischinger’s formulation.

VAL1

Value that depends on the calculation options. If KOPT = 1 and Labopt = ‘EHE’ or ‘EC2’ it represents the ageing coefficient (default value = 0.8).

RELAX

Label identifying the steel relaxation losses before transfer and due to heating calculation:

‘Value’

Value of the steel relaxation losses (stress).

‘Blank’

Calculated by CivilFEM.

NONE

Losses are neglected.

K

Thermal reduction factor for thermal expansion losses calculation for pre-tensioned steel (default value = 0.5).

TVar

Heating temperature variation at curing process, in degrees centigrade, for the thermal expansion losses calculation (pre-tensioned steel).

Notes

- This command is also available in SOLU.

- The type of prestressing losses (pre-tensioned or post-tensioned) is defined with the ~PCTYPE command before its calculation. A change in the type of losses after its calculation will delete them.
