Captures the support beam from a beam element model

PREP7: PRESTRESSED CONCRETE: Support beam

NODE

Initial end (the node of the lowest numbering end is taken by default).

Notes

- The nodes of the model will be the cuts of the support beam that are consecutively numbered from the initial end (cut=1) to the final end (cut=number of nodes).

- The support beam will be captured on the active coordinate system. The vertical direction must be oriented towards the Y axis. It is recommended to place the X axis along the main direction of the tendons, in order to avoid geometrical singularities (a tendon must not have any segment parallel to the Z axis).

- The “offset” of the section must be set (in the beam & shell properties) at the section axis origin.

- Prestressed concrete utilities are not supported for tapered beams.
